How did you pick this theme or topic?
I decided to start doing some debates and I wanted to pick a topic that would motivate them and make them talk.
How did you present the material? (handouts, group work, general discussion, student presentations, etc.)
We talked about the laws in California about legalization of marihuana. Then we did an exercise of vocabulary, watched some videos and had a debate at the end of the class.
How did students react?
They really liked the debate and were eager to talk.
Did they engage with each other and you?
They engaged very good with each other and with me.
What materials or media did you use? (articles, satellite tv, digital projector, etc.)
Crosswords and videos from youtube attached.
