How did you pick this theme or topic?
Skits, because we could not do them during the previous class, and games because I wanted to check their vocabulary, and their fluency.

How did you present the material? (Handouts, group work, general discussion, student presentations, etc.)
I gave the same scenario to every group ( groups of 3 or 4), they just had to imagine a scene with 2 people meeting a 3rd one, and one of the first two not knowing the first one, they would have to make presentations.
For the games, we played “baccalaureat”, and then questions from “ca m’interesse” like “comment met on une poire dans une bouteille?”

How did students react?
They were really dynamic for the skits. I was impressed, I corrected common mistakes like “tu” or “vous”, or plurals… With the game, the rhythm of the class got slowed down but they were still involved.
