How did you pick this theme or topic?
I had planned something totally different, but one of my students brought up the North Korea conflict, because it had been in the news this day. Because my other students seemed very interested in that, I changed my plans. So we read a newspaper article about the recent news about North Korea online and discussed it
How did you present the material? (handouts, group work, general discussion, student presentations, etc.)
Reading the article together, discussing the content and vocabs.
How did students react?
Liked it.
Did they engage with each other and you?
Yes, it was the topic they chose, so they were very engaged

Would you recommend this activity for a future class?
Not necessarily this topic, because other students might not be that interested in it. But I would recommend changing the lesson plan, when students come up with a very interesting topic.
